| Mardi Gras 2010 |
It has been three years since we participated in Magic Hat's Mardi Gras parade here in Burlington so we thought it was time to give it a go again! This year we had our "Under the Sea" themed float with hard hat divers, mermaids, little scuba divers and shirtless men in nothing but swim trunks and scuba gear. And since Pearl was returned earlier in the week she had the best view in the house atop the cab of the truck looking out at all the excited Mardi Gras-ers. Check out some of the pictures from Mardi Gras!

| Wakatobi Dive Trip 2009 |
Last year we ran a group trip to Wakatobi, Indonesia. Although, only four divers went, they had an amazing time spending a few days traveling around Bali before heading over to the small island of Wakatobi for 10 nights. The diving adventures there were amazing with four dozen dive sites to choose from as well as the famous House Reef literally right off the resorts beach. Here are a few photos taken by one of the travelers to give you an idea of just how beautiful Wakatobi really is.
For more information please visit Wakatobi's Website.

| 2009 Splash Event |
Splash! started with a fundraising idea from long-time Waterfront Diving Center customer and friend, Frank Bell, and it was made into a wave of love by Lisetta Hansen. In only a few short months, Lisetta had enlisted the help of 28 volunteers, and secured terrific prize donations from both local and National sponsors. Splash! was a tremendous success. It was also a fun day of diving, snorkeling, activities for kids, and a terrific BBQ. Thank you to everyone who navigated the poker run, tried SCUBA, snorkeled, purchased (and sold) raffle rickets, or big in the silent auction. We raised over $6,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Thanks to all who participated in this years Green Up Vermont Day.
We collected a total of 15 bags of garbage from Perkins Pier (above and below water), Waterfront Park, and the Bike Path.
A special thanks to Ben Mosher and Dave Potter who braved the 45 degree water and collected more garbage than they could handle at Perkins Pier. Also thank you to our future divers Maureen, Kelly, and Sarah for their enthusiasm and help.
Next year we look forward to having more divers helping underwater!
See you all soon in the lake. |

| Adirondack Clean Water Dive Team, Lower St. Regis Lake |
|
The Adirondack Clean Water Dive Team appears with the trash they collected from Lower St. Regis Lake at Paul Smith’s College this past Saturday. The objective was to clean, in preparation for the summer season, an area of the Lake popular with swimmers. Among the one hundred or so bottles collected included a hand-blown "torpedo" bottle circa 1880, and a bottle from the former Frank Starks bottling company of Saranac Lake, which according to local historical records, was one of several bottling operations in Saranac Lake in the early years. Divers pictured are Frank Bell, Benny Mosher, Jim Grant, Melvin Jones, Archie Jones, Larry Jacques, Alan Jacques, and Amy Jacques. The Adirondack Clean Water Dive Team cleans lakes in the area as a community service and is sponsored by Waterfront Diving Center of Burlington. |
