Roatan, Honduras
April 22-29, 2006

The Bay Islands of Honduras are renowned for wonderful diving, a gentle pace of life, and captivating jungle beauty. Instructor Jim Squires will lead a small group of divers to Roatan, the largest of Honduras' Bay Islands, for an unforgettable week of diving in warm, clear waters teeming with sea life. Every dive offers opportunities to swim with spotted eagle rays, turtles, colorful seahorses, curious groupers, and schools of fish while exploring the southern section of the Western Hemisphere's largest coral reef. Most dive sites are just 5-10 minutes from the dock! We'll stay in Caribbean-style bungalows sitting on stilts above the water's edge, taking advantage of the fine amenities of Anthony's Key Resort, a dedicated dive resort. Don't want to dive? No problem. You can rest in your personal hammock, sit by the pool, snorkel, hike on jungle trails, visit the Butterfly Farm or Bird Park, kayak, ride horses on the beach, party the night away at West End, have a massage in your room, or take an island tour of Garifuna villages with African descendants. Also located at Anthony's Key is an excellent island museum and the Roatan Institute of Marine Sciences where dolphins are raised and studied. Free dolphin shows are held daily while swim/snorkel/dive with the dolphins are available for an extra fee.

COST: $2145   (non-divers $2045/ children 5-9 $1725) Includes: Round trip airfare from Burlington, 7 nights accommodations in standard bungalow located on water's edge at Anthony's Key Resort, three single tank boat dives daily (free additional shore diving), 2 night dives, three scrumptious meals daily, welcome cocktail party, island fiesta night, picnic on the white sands of Tabayana Beach, horse-back riding, canoes and kayaks, admission to daily dolphin shows and the Roatan Museum, taxes and hotel transfers.

Not included: tips, bar drinks, $25 departure tax, special events (highly recommended dolphin dive costs about $90), suntan lotion.
