Grand Turk

February 27th- March 6th, 2021

Join Instructor Wade Labrecque for 8 days and 7 nights at the beautiful Bohio Dive Resort in Grand Turk. The Turks & Caicos Islands, at the tip of the Bahamas island chain, are rich with colonial charm and a laid-back Caribbean vibe. Wild donkeys still wander the streets, and locals are known as belongers. Grand Turk is the smallest of the islands at 7 miles long and 1 mile wide but has the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world located directly off the Bohio Resort beach.

Bohio is the island word for “Home” and that is how the resort strives to make you feel. The resort boasts the only on-site dive operation on the island. With their unique beachfront location on the west side of the island, Bohio Dive Resort is located only a short boat ride away from all Grand Turk dive sites, where dramatic wall dives, historic wrecks, and majestic sea life are just waiting to be discovered and admired. Your package includes 2 tank morning dives and unlimited shore diving. Night diving is available and afternoon boat dives are available at an additional cost.

Bohio Resort’s Guanahani Restaurant & Bar, open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is perched overlooking the soft sands and azure waters of world-class Pillory Beach. At the Ike and Donkey Beach Bar you can enjoy the unspoilt beach and ocean and sip a specialty cocktail while you await the green flash of another glorious sunset. Bohio’s Ike and Donkey Beach Bar is the favorite island spot to enjoy live music and entertainment including Saturday night’s BBQ & live band. Breakfast and lunch are included in your package.

Your Beachfront Double room includes two double beds, a private balcony, and spectacular views of our white sandy beach and the Caribbean. Each room comes with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, LCD TV’s with cable, mini fridge, beach towels and free bottled water. Upgrades to King size beds and corner rooms is possible based on availability and at additional cost.

There is plenty for the non diver to explore and experience at Bohio. Your package includes free use of paddle boards, reef boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment and hobie cats, beach chairs and bicycles.

Stop by the hotel spa for a relaxing massage, go horseback riding on the beach, or take a boat ride to a deserted island.

From January through early April hundreds of humpback whales pass 400 yards off shore through the mile-deep Grand Turk Passage. Watch from the beach or take a whale watching tour. On my first trip I swam with Humpback Whales and on my second we had one swim by during a dive.

Red Sea, Egypt

April 1st - 13th, 2021

Red Sea

Egypt’s Red Sea is famous for an abundance of soft coral, exotic species and historic shipwrecks, but it also deserves accolades for its blue waters with seemingly unending visibility and a unique color palate as ocean and sky blue contrast against the sandstone cliffsides and the jagged profile of the Mountains of the Sinai Peninsula.

This April Join WDC instructor Kreig Pinkham for an 11 day trip to the ancient lands of Egypt. This trip will include a week aboard the Red Sea Aggressor II where we will dive the Norther Red Sea along the tip of the Sinai. The itinerary includes the vast coral covered walls and coral gardens of the Ros Mohamad National park and the area around the Straights of Tiran as well as visits to several historic shipwrecks including The SS Thistlegorm, a merchant marine ship that was sunk by German bomber planes in 1941 leaving behind an underwater museum of WWII vehicles and other artifacts. She is considered by many to be the top wreck diving destination in the world.

During our week aboard, you’ll enjoy an average of four dives a day, including night dives that promise to take you past reefs resplendent with pink, magenta and violet soft corals, salad corals the size of houses, turtles, clouds of anthias and glass fish, crocodile fish and perhaps even encounters with bottlenose dolphins.

Upon completing our week aboard the Red Sea Aggressor II we’ll off-gas with three days in Cairo, the African continent’s largest city to explore Egypt’s past and present. Highlights will include a trip to Sakkara to visit ancient temple structures and the site of some of the earred sealiest pyramids followed by an afternoon at the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only remaining ancient wonder of the world. We’ll also spend an unforgettable day at the British Museum viewing the famed treasures recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamen and then exploring the labyrinthine Khan El Khalily Bazaars, where you can find your own Egyptian treasures to bring home among a vast array of traditional Egyptian crafts.

The trip includes all airfare, including domestic transfers in Egypt, all lodging and ground transfers throughout the trip, food and drinks while aboard the Aggressor, breakfast buffets in Cairo, all entrance fees for the land excursions and English speaking guides for our time in Cairo. This life-bucket trip will bring you unique and exciting diving and a chance to experience one of the oldest and most significant cultures in the world.

Complete Package Includes:

  • Roundtrip airfare from Burlington, Vermont
  • 10 nights accommodation; double occupancy
  • Domestics transfers within Egypt.
  • Food and drink aboard the Aggressor II Liveaboard.
  • Breakfast buffet while in Cairo.
  • red sea3
  • Entrance fees for all land excursions & English speaking guide for time in Cairo.
