March 3rd-10th, 2019

Grand Turk

Join Instructor Wade Labrecque for 8 days and 7 nights at the beautiful Bohio Dive Resort in Grand Turk. The Turks & Caicos Islands, at the tip of the Bahamas island chain, are rich with colonial charm and a laid-back Caribbean vibe. Wild donkeys still wander the streets, and locals are known as belongers. Grand Turk is the smallest of the islands at 7 miles long and 1 mile wide but has the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world located directly off the Bohio Resort beach.

Bohio is the island word for “Home” and that is how the resort strives to make you feel. The resort boasts the only on-site dive operation on the island. With their unique beachfront location on the west side of the island, Bohio Dive Resort is located only a short boat ride away from all Grand Turk dive sites, where dramatic wall dives, historic wrecks, and majestic sea life are just waiting to be discovered and admired. Your package includes 2 tank morning dive and unlimited shore diving. Night diving is available and Afternoon boat dives are available at an additional cost.

Bohio Resort’s Guanahani Restaurant & Bar open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is perched overlooking the soft sands and azure waters of world-class Pillory Beach. At the Ike and Donkey Beach Bar you can enjoy unspoilt beach and ocean and sip a specialty cocktail while you await the green flash of another glorious sunset. Bohio’s Ike and Donkey Beach Bar is the favorite island spot to enjoy live music and entertainment including Saturday night’s BBQ & live band. Breakfast and lunch are included in your package. The island has fully recovered from Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017 with a lot more restaurants open on the island for dinner.

Your Beachfront Double room includes two double beds, a private balcony, and spectacular views of the white sandy beach and the Caribbean. Each room comes with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, LCD TV’s with cable, mini fridge, beach towels. Free bottled water in rooms. Upgrades to King size beds and corner rooms are possible based on availability and at additional cost.

There is plenty for the non-diver to explore and experience at Bohio. Your package includes free use of paddle boards, reef boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment and hobie cats. Stop by the hotel spa for a relaxing massage, go horseback riding on the beach, or take a boat ride to a deserted island.

From January through early April hundreds of humpback whales pass 400 yards off shore through the mile-deep Grand Turk Passage. Watch from the beach or take a whale watching tour. We were extremely fortunate last year and got to swim with 2 Humpback Whales!!! I can’t promise this will happen again we saw whales spouts, breaching and tails in the air almost daily from the boat and shore. During our dives we were serenaded with whale songs too. This was in addition to spotted eagle rays, turtles, octopi, reef sharks and free swimming green moray eels

Complete Package: $2895 for Divers/$2295 for non-Divers

This includes round trip air fare from Burlington, VT to Grand Turk, room, breakfast and lunch, tax, transfers.

Utila Bay Islands, Honduras

March 16th-23rd, 2019

Utila 2019

Join Waterfront Diving Center and dive master John Siminger for another fun Sat. to Sat. trip to experience the fabulous diving of Utila, in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Utila Lodge consists of only eight guest rooms plus their restaurant, complete dive shop and on-site pier w/ fleet of dive boats. They are in a busy little town w/ lots to do.

We have reserved all eight rooms for this week, so this trip will be limited to a maximum of 16 divers; however our group will probably be smaller if we get the usual requests for private rooms. This will be an All-Waterfront affair -we'll have the resort to ourselves!

Paradise as it was intended! Set out over the turquoise Caribbean waters of Utila Bay, Utila Lodge is the perfect place for whatever you’re looking for in a vacation. They will be your relaxing getaway and your home for a week of great diving and fun adventure. There are LOTS of exciting things to do on Utila in addition to diving!

Utila Lodge has 8 beautiful island-style rooms built over the waters of Utila Bay and include private bathrooms and screened in porches. Each room has both a queen and double bed and the bathrooms have double sinks. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, cable TV and high speed wireless internet. The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious and the private porches are the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

It wouldn’t be a proper dive vacation without having a place to get a great night of sleep before heading out on the next day’s morning boat and it wouldn’t be a proper Caribbean escape if there wasn’t a place to lay in a hammock to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Vacations are made easy with Utila Lodge. They offer everything we'll need. Non-Diver packages are priced several hundred dollars less that the Diver Package.

With these packages, you won’t have to worry about a thing for the duration of your stay. From dinner on the night of your arrival to breakfast on the morning of departure, they've got you covered. Your delicious meals are built around your diving schedule.

On the dive boats you’ll be spoiled by their hard working staff. Every morning and afternoon your tanks and gear will be waiting for you all set up and ready for your next dive. Ice cold water and fresh watermelon will be available to you on each set of dives. After each dive, feel free to grab one of their Fish ID books to discuss what you saw with your Divemaster and fellow divers.

Maldives on the Manthiri Liveaboard

April 14th-27th, 2019

Why Dive the Maldives on the Manthiri?

Mantas, Whalesharks, Turtles, Octopus, Schooling Fish and More!

Join Waterfront Diving Center Co-Owner and Instructor Robert "Ski" Wilczynski for this dive trip of a lifetime, to one of the top all-around dive destinations on the planet, the Maldines. Ski had the opportunity to dive the Maldives in September 2016 and loved it so much that he wants to go back! Perhaps nowhere else in the world is the marine life as rich, divers or colorful as in these warm waters of the Indian Ocean.maldives manta

Located Southwest of India, the Maldives consists of 26 atolls stretching 470 miles across the equator. The Maldives are defined a garland shaped atoll chain dotted with countless reefs and 1,190 islands, nearly a thousand uninhabited. This is one of the most exciting places for fish photography and a nearly perfect year-round dive destination. Imagine yourself drifting over channels, lingering over pinnacles or drop-offs, and exploring valleys of soft corals and gardens of hard corals croweded with fish. Maine life incldues but not limited to tropicals to pelagics, morays, mantas, turles, octopus, sharks, whalesharks and large schools of fish. Encounters with 10,000 to 100,000 schooling fish of a dozen eagle rays are not uncommon.

When not in the water diving, divers will spend time on board the Manthiri. Manthiri is a beautiful 85-foot liveaboard vessel built of fine tropical timber, and custom-designed for dive cruises. The wide beam of 25 feet contributes toward a stable hull and minimizes rocking motion and allows for 6 spacious cabins. Cabin configurations consist of four cabins with two twin beds and two cabins with one queen-size bed. No more than twelve guests are on each cruise and the attentive eleve-person crew ensures that every need is met.

All cabins have private bathrooms with hot water showers, convenient hair dryers, individually controlled air conditioning and minibars. There's plenty of storage in every cabin, including a locker and drawers for clothes and luggage stowage.

Manthiri's teak paneled salon is one of the largest found on any vessel of this size. This lounge area is furnished with six sofas, a music system, DVD player and multi-system TV/VCR with video camera viewing capabilities. The camera salon is equiped with a well-lit work station, spacious tables to store cameras, and ample 230V and 110V power outlets. Manthiri has been outfitted by professionals with underwater photographers in mind.

maldivesManthiri's top deck is arranged to accomodat both sun worshippers and shade seekers. Deck chairs are ideally placed for soaking in the rays, icy drink in hand or star-gazing in the evening. For full details and pictures of the boat visit their website at

A seperate specially outfitted dive tender, called a dhoni, provides a home for all dive gear, compressors, and Nitrox systems. The dive boar has a full bathroom with a shower and one outside shower. This is a very spacious boat as four people can giant stride into the water at one time and there is a very stable ladder to get back on board.

With other 20 years of experience diving the Maldives, the crew has discovered new dive sites that are exclusive to Manthiri guests. This, along with only 12 guests per voyage, means less diver congestion in the water. The crew also knows the best times to visit certain sites to see specific marine life based upon the time of year, currents, phase of the moon, etc. Visitors can expect to see species that include, but are not limited to whalesharks, mantas, turles, octopus, eels, soft and hard corals and more...

The food on Manthiri is wonderfully prepared and plentiful. Trained at a top Maldivian Resort, professional chefs ensure a sophisticated twist on the contemporary flavors of the Maldives, as tasteful blend of East and West. With ten years of serving on board Manthiri, the chefs know precisely how to pamper divesr with the finest seafood, aromatic local specialities, and global cuisine guaranteed to suit the palates of guests from around the world.

Solomon Islands

October 19th-29th, 2019

Solomon Islands

Join shop co-owner, Jonathan Eddy, for an adventure to the remote and fabulous Solomon Islands. Jonathan was there in March of 2017 and knew he had to go back. The Solomons' are a group of over 900 islands extending just south of Papua New Guinea, over 1,000 miles, to the southernmost island of Guadalcanal. Only approximately 140 of the 900 plus islands are inhabitated and most of those have only subsistence fishing villages.

Due to their remote location, and the lack of development, the Solomon Islands offer some of the most pristine diving the world has to offer. The reefs start in as little as a few feet of water and are covered in beautiful soft and hard corals which are teeming with marine life in every direction. Many islands are ringed with deep walls which start at the shore's edge and drop off to below sport diving limits. These locations offer an opportunity to see deep ocean marine life such as schooling pelagics.

After landing at Henderson Field on Guadacanal, we will be transportated to the Taka, our liveaboard dive boat and home for the next ten days. The 100' Taka was built as a dive vessel in 2004. She is very comfortable and has 13 air conditioned cabins. We have reserved six cabins on the second deck, each with a large window and ensuite bathroom. The Taka has a well laid out dive deck with special tables and a rinse tank for camera gear. Also on the dive deck are five heads with showers making it easy to rinse off between dives without having to go back to your cabin. Due to the underwater topography most of the diving is done from the Taka herself. A very large swim platform makes getting in and out of the water very easy. There is also always an inflatable in the water to retrieve divers if needed.

The meals and snacks onboard are very good and plentiful. Meals feature a selection of fresh local fruits and vegetables, often purchased from the islanders who paddle up in wooden dugout canoes when the Taka anchors for the evening. Dinners consist of fresh fish, chicken, beef or pasta and homemade breads. Special dietary needs can be accomodated with advanced notice.

In short, don't miss the opportunity to dive this beautiful and remote part of the wold. The price based on double occupancy is only $4995.00 (list price is $5730.00)
